Employee Profiles

The success of every organization depends on its people. Whether they're at the bedside or playing a critical support role, our employees make us who we are. From small gestures - such as friendly words, a warm smile, a healing touch-our employees are heroes to us and our patients.

Elsa Martin, a member of the JRMC Environmental Services Team, is a great member of the 2 South team and has been publicly praised by staff, patients and their families. Chris Spratley, Director of EVS, comments that Elsa's work ethic is inspiring. "She sets a model of what all employees should be."

Melvin Ward is another member of the EVS Team that deserves mention. On Christmas Day, this past year, Melvin came in on his day off and played Santa for patients and staff.

Melvin has a history of leading others in giving. He helps spearhead fundraisers, sponsors the food drive to feed the hungry at Thanksgiving, and assisted a fellow employee in her efforts to take her terminally ill daughter on a cruise in the Bahamas.

Elsa and Marvin are just a couple of the examples of individuals who truly make a difference in the lives of those they work with and the lives of patients.
